Dedication
This is a serious matter and should
only be done when you know that wicca is right for you, if you have ANY doubts then don't. When you dedicate yourself your
showing the God and Goddess that you've taken the step from learning about Wicca into one where your absolutly positivly sure
that Wicca is right for you. Initiation and dedication for a solitary is reletivly the same. Before you rush into anything
you may want to use this checklist:
1.Do you understand every ethic and moral code of Wicca?
2.Have you chosen your
pantheon, are you comfortable with it? Obviously you can change if your happy but it's best to stick to one straight through
the learning phase and get to grips with the God and Goddess etc
3.Do you understand the sabbats and the esbats and truly
find them special and so forth?
4.Are you going to choose a magickal name? This can be tricky, sometimes it's better to
stick with your birth name sometimes it's not, think carefully about it and pick words that seem to mean something about your
character or are special to you.
5.Do you know a ritual setup? Have you practised some rituals? Do you understand the elements?
6.
Do you have some herbal knowledge, magickal properties etc?
This is just a guideline of course, this is basically the
stuff I knew when I dedicated myself, it's also knowledge you must have as it's a key part of Wicca.

The magickal life:
Well
basically to lead a magickal life is to incorporate Wicca into your life everyday. You'll find that your whole outlook on
life, materialism etc will have changed.
To get in touch with nature and the God and Goddess here are some simple things
to start you off, remember to improvise and adapt.
Begin
by sitting still and breathing calmly. Taking out a few deep breathes. You may have some unresolved problems and issues in
which case focus on a solution for these and say a personalised prayer for inspiration.
For
example a solution to a problem:
'Fire,
Fire burning bright, deep within me,
Flames
and truth and love and light,
Please
come to guide me'
